Working Group SummaryThe Working Group on Urban Geochemistry was established in 2007 to take advantage of the increasing interest in urban geochemistry globally. With numerous individual projects being carried out by many different organizations (Geological Surveys, universities, and cities), there is an obvious need for a common arena for exchange of scientific results, and to demonstrate the practical use of geochemical data for city planning and for environmental health.
