Summary of Award
Up to five IAGC Certificates of Recognition may be awarded annually to IAGC Members (i) for outstanding
scientific accomplishment in a particular area of geochemistry, (ii) for excellence in teaching or public service, or
(iii) for meritorious service to the Association or the international geochemistry community. This award shall
consist of a certificate and the recipients shall be cited in the IAGC Newsletter and on the Association website.
Nomination Procedure
Nominations for a Certificate of Recognition shall consist of an official letter or e-mail of nomination of a single
short paragraph in length that explains why the nominee is deserving of IAGC recognition in one or more of the
three categories:
- outstanding scientific accomplishment in a particular area of geochemistry
- excellence in teaching or public service, and
- for meritorious service to the Association or the international scientific community.
This nomination should contain the suggested citation text.
Nominations may be submitted via email to IAGC Secretary, Tom Bullen - tdbullen@usgs.gov. (Nominations must be received between 15-June and 15-November each year)
